What cannot be answered here
- Anything about opening, bypassing or disabling a lock, camera, alarm or doorbell, including on hardware you own. That request is declined however it is framed.
- Legal questions. What may be recorded, what a lease permits and what an association can require are all local, and the answer has to come from somebody who can advise on your jurisdiction.
- Whether a specific lock will fit a specific door. Only the manufacturer specification for that model, checked against your own measurements, can settle that.
- Whether a door or window in your home meets an escape requirement. Your local fire department and building official can, and they will.
